This short course aims to provide a foundation knowledge of PFA for people in the community, healthcare workers, volunteers and others who work with people following a crisis such as a natural disaster, disease outbreak (including the COVID-19 pandemic) or other incidents that may affect groups or individuals. The course is designed to provide basic knowledge on PFA for participants, enabling them to then be in a position to support and assist others following a crisis.  The course focuses particularly on laypeople, volunteers, and community workers without specific mental health training. However, it is also relevant for all regional healthcare workers, as well as anyone on the frontline of COVID-19 management. These workers might include first responders, essential staff (supplying food for example), and people working in volunteer organisations, among many others.
