This course provides a foundation for you to understand what online teaching (and learning) is about. Simply explained, online teaching is teaching using the internet; the opposite of being in a physical location in front of your students. Online teaching follows an "anytime, anywhere, learner-centered" philosophy where you can reach and teach your students virtually (online or what is commonly referred to as e-learning). In this course, you will be encouraged to reflect on your own teaching experiences and progressively think about how you may apply them in an online context. Planning an online course, technology tools, online resources and activities, online assessments and course evaluation are key areas addressed in this course.
