This postgraduate course is designed as a consequent of Advanced Education of  Gifted and Talented Students 1, at the Post-Graduate Diploma in Education Programme. It aims to challenge and support educators, as they prepare for professional work and leadership in Gifted Education, through critical analysis of various concepts of intelligence, giftedness and creativity. It also allows students to  critically reflect, discuss and evaluate current theoretical perspectives related to key issues in Gifted Education, and to examine the nature of  relationships and interactions between Gifted Education and General Education. It then further examines research principles and methods and apply those principles and methods in the evaluation, design and completion of research into current gifted educational issues. Attainment of the Course Learning Outcomes below would require a favourable grasp of seminal and contemporary research literature in the field and impacts on educational policy and practices relating to gifted students.
